Terminating Unprofessional Employee at Samwoojung NYC

Terminating Unprofessional Employee at Samwoojung NYC
The Issue
There is a Korean restaurant I often visit in NYC called Samwoojung, where one of my favorite dishes, bulgogi, is served with a flavor that closely matches the traditional taste from Korea. However, every time I dine there, I encounter the same problem: a consistently rude attitude from one particular employee.
During my last visit with friends, she rudely told us to wait outside without giving a clear explanation as to why our table wasn’t prepared on schedule. After 15 minutes, we were guided to our table, but she didn’t even bother to apologize or explain the delay. Just when we thought our frustration would be over, it only got worse. Unfortunately, she was also in charge of cooking our bulgogi, but she kept glaring at us coldly, making us feel uncomfortable. After this experience, I realized that I can no longer enjoy dining at Samwoojung as long as she is there.
I was able to find out her name and role at Samwoojung. Her name is Esther Jooyeon Shin (신주연). She is the manager of the restaurant, who also works as the receptionist and serves as well.
Apparently, we aren’t the only customers who have had a terrible dining experience because of her. Nearly all the negative reviews about the restaurant point to her. One person wrote that she rushed them to leave the restaurant while they were still enjoying their food. Another person mentioned that she made noises with the tongs while cooking the bulgogi. Someone else noted that her attitude hasn’t changed at all. These reviews are enough evidence that she is not fit to work at Samwoojung or any restaurant.
Her attitude and behavior are unfitting not just for a restaurant manager but for the entire hospitality industry. She is a liability to the establishment. Someone like her should be effectively removed from the restaurant to ensure customers have an enjoyable dining experience. Please sign this petition so that we can gather our voices together and alert the management to have her employment terminated.
