Fire NDOT Director Tracy Larkin-Thomason: Protect Our Rights, Safety, and Tax Dollars

We, the people of Nevada, can no longer stand by while Nevada DOT Director Tracy Larkin-Thomason continues her abuse of power and mismanagement. Under her leadership, our roads have become dangerous, our freedoms have been violated, and our tax dollars wasted on her political agendas. Here’s why Larkin-Thomason must be removed immediately:

 
1. Lives Lost and Safety Ignored
Deadly Traffic Congestion: Larkin-Thomason intentionally bottlenecks traffic by reducing lanes during construction and using road cones unnecessarily, creating chaos and delays for emergency responders. These deliberate policies cost lives.

Neglect of Critical Projects: Since 2017, NDOT has failed to complete crucial communication systems that keep staff and law enforcement safe during emergencies. This endangers everyone on the road.
 
2. Abuse of Power and Orwellian Tactics
Warrantless Surveillance: She pushed for warrantless tracking technology and plans to use AI for law enforcement, stripping Nevadans of their privacy and freedom.

Fear Tactics: Paid to place empty police cars on highways to study driver fear during a time when law enforcement was under attack, putting officers at risk and damaging public trust.
 
3. Stonewalling Leadership and Public Mandates
Defying Lt. Gov. Stavros Anthony: Ignored direct orders from Lt. Gov. Stavros Anthony to remove the failed HOV lanes, instead stalling with politically motivated environmental studies to delay action. This blatant disregard for leadership and public opinion showcases her unwillingness to listen to Nevadans.

4. Wasting Taxpayer Money on Political Agendas
Fuel Revenue Indexing Ballot Violations: Used taxpayer money to install signs promoting a ballot initiative in violation of NRS election laws.

Environmental Agenda: Spent millions on politically motivated studies to push her environmental agenda instead of unbiased research that reflects public needs.
 
5. Massive Project Failures
Project Neon Disaster: Businesses were forced to sell their land for pennies on the dollar, lanes were reduced to create gridlock, HOV lanes confused surface street connections, and the project took years longer than similar projects in other states.

I-15 Tropicana Bridge Debacle: While other states replace bridges in days, Larkin-Thomason’s NDOT takes years, wasting time and resources while inconveniencing the public.
 
6. Intentional Neglect of Road Quality
Improper Materials: Roads deteriorate faster because of Larkin-Thomason’s use of poor-quality asphalt and concrete, leading to more construction, longer delays, and higher costs for taxpayers.

Road Maintenance Delays: Cones and construction equipment are left on highways unnecessarily, further slowing traffic and fueling her agenda to force Nevadans to carpool.
 
7. Dirty Roads and Endless Construction
Filthy Highways: Nevada’s roads are littered with trash, reflecting NDOT’s failure to maintain basic standards of cleanliness.

Abandoned Work Zones: Construction sites sit empty for months, creating hazards and unnecessary delays for commuters.
 
Tracy Larkin-Thomason has abused her power, violated our trust, and sacrificed public safety for her political gain. Under her leadership, Nevada’s roads have become a nightmare, and our tax dollars have been used against us.

Nevadans deserve better. We demand the immediate removal of Director Tracy Larkin-Thomason and a new leader who prioritizes safety, efficiency, and transparency.
