Tennessee Stands to Take Back Our Liberty!
The Issue
Small businesses in Tennessee can’t take another shut down. The US and TN constitution protects businesses from being shut down. The 5th amendment states that the government can’t “deny anyone Life, liberty, or property without due process and property can’t be taken without just compensation.” And regardless of where you stand on the mask debate, while businesses can deny service as they see fit, it is unconstitutional to force a mask mandate on the general public. T.C.A. 58-2-107(a)(2) says “Pursuant to the authority vested in the governor under subdivision (a) (1), the governor may issue executive orders, proclamations, and rules and may amend or rescind them. Such executive orders, proclamations, and rules have the force and effect of law.” This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL! This violates the separation of powers- checks and balances. Creating a law then enforcing such law without the consent of “we the people” creates an imbalance of power; the very thing the founding fathers tried to avoid. This is what a king does. Make a law, make you abide or suffer consequences. We do not have a king. We have a governor. Removing this unconstitutional code [T.C.A. 58-2-107(a)(2)] from the governor and the mayors of TN will restore our liberty and prevent this from happening again! This website will explain it more thoroughly. Please Join us in taking back our liberty!
