Tell the U.S. Government to Start Trade Talks With China Now

The Issue

The United States and China are heading into another dangerous round of trade escalation — and American families, farmers, and small businesses could pay the price.

But there’s another option: diplomacy.

China has publicly signaled that it is open to restarting trade negotiations with the U.S., as long as its concerns are considered.

As NYT reports, it will engage in negotiations if Washington cancels its tariffs on Chinese goods first.

Instead of ignoring this opportunity, the U.S. should engage — not to give in, but to listen, negotiate, and seek a better path forward.

We call on President Trump and U.S. trade officials to immediately open formal trade talks with China.

Tariffs alone aren’t a long-term strategy. We need dialogue, not just penalties — and we need solutions that protect workers, reduce inflation, and promote global stability.

Sign the petition to urge the U.S. government to begin trade talks with China and pursue a smarter, negotiated path forward.
