San Diego Water Truth www.watertruth.org
Feb 2, 2016
Water supply in storage has been rising rapidly both in San Diego and in the north. In San Diego, our reservoirs now hold 25 Billion gallons more than this time last year, according to the County Water Authority. Currently, our supply is running at 50 percent MORE than we are using. In northern California, the two largest reservoirs are already well above their levels at this time last year, and they will continue to rise significantly as El Nino conditions persist through the Spring, and as substantial snowmelt feeds the reservoirs as the year progresses. San Diego does not have a water supply emergency. Jerry Brown's political stunt is doing real harm to our wallets, our properties, our economy, and our program to further invest in sustainable water supply. Share the truth. Sign the petition. And forward this to your family, friends, and colleagues. Tell our local leaders to defend our community and its investments. Kevin Faulconer can no longer remain silent.
