It’s been a wonderful week for Team Toondah with thousands of submissions already lodged and uplifting and well-attended EIS workshops bringing our community together. https://savestraddie.com/toondah-harbour/

Like many times in the past 40 plus years, I had the pleasure of travelling via terrific Toondah to visit family on Straddie/Minjerribah. 

It was very special to share an inspiring afternoon with amazing like-minded people committed to looking after our precious bay and protecting its natural wonders for future generations. 

A real highlight was President of the Stradbroke (Terrangeri) Environmental and Cultural Protection Association, Dale Ruska’s moving Welcome to Country which shared a powerful message about the significance of Toondah’s cultural heritage to its traditional owners and its environmental value.

Please be that person that talks to strangers on the bus and tell anyone you can to get a submission in. If you’re super keen you can make multiple submissions on different parts of your objections. 

Individually worded submissions probably carry more weight. If you have time, please do that. If not use the below to make sure we get as many submissions as possible.

Finally, we did it – we reached 60,000 signatures for our petition today. Please refer to the petition as evidence of how many people are against Walker’s 3,600-unit suburb in the sea.
