Members of the Save Toondah alliance gathered on Sunday to celebrate the community spirit of our people-powered movement and send a strong message that we are lodging our EIS submissions and we want Toondah to stay ‘naturally wonderful’.
This week’s community action kicks off with a Roadside Action on the corner of Redland Bay and Moreton Bay Roads this Tuesday 15 November. Come from 7-9am (park in the Dominos/Freedom car park) to let more people know about about this wetland and koala wipe out.
Bring your signs or they will have some for you.
Toondah was championed again in the Federal Parliament last week, this time by the new Member for Griffith, Max Chandler-Mather who highlighted the environmental impacts and $1,4 million donated by Walker to the LNP and ALP since 2007 - https://fb.watch/gLe5SiZ1Uy/
It was also a week where the beautiful Save Toondah community art quilt made at the Welcome Home Shorebirds event on 17 September was proudly hung up in the majestic St. John’s Anglican Cathedral in Ann Street, Brisbane City – check it in person or at https://bit.ly/3UIDHyG

Finally, it’s so wonderful to see so many good people and organisations on our side and doing everything possible to save this irreplaceable natural gem. Our Toondah family includes the Friends of Stradbroke Island (FOSI) who are also making a submission https://fosi.org.au/stop-toondah-harbour/ - they’d love your help if you have time/knowledge.
