Our son is a recipient of PUF. With this service, he receives speech, occupational and physiotherapies. He also has an assistant in his preschool classroom to help guide him through things that are simple for most kids.

Until very recently, he would continue to receive these supports in Kindergarten to help him transition into a new school, a new routine and new expectations. However, the current provincial government is now removing the funding for Kindergarten students.

The first 1000 days of a child's life are the most influential. They help shape personality, perspective, self value. The neural pathways that get set up and used the most at this point are crucial to future development. It is imperative that this time be utilized to set children up for success.

Please take a few minutes to sign this petition to support kids like our son. He's the toughest, bravest, most positive and persistent person I know. I have learned so much from him, and know he has so much to give to this world, if we let him. Please don't let this short sighted government get in his way.
