The Issue

Salesforce is preparing to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) triple its workforce — using artificial intelligence to fuel President Trump’s expanded crackdown on immigrants across the U.S.

Internal documents show that Salesforce pitched ICE a plan to use its A.I. to supercharge hiring, process more tips, and assist in raids and investigations. This comes as Trump escalates deportations and mass immigration enforcement — and it’s happening under the leadership of a CEO who once claimed to represent progressive values.

Let’s be clear: Salesforce can’t call itself a force for good while helping ICE tear families apart faster.

In 2018, public outcry over Salesforce’s involvement with border enforcement forced the company to make charitable donations and promise more oversight. But now, behind closed doors, Salesforce is quietly working to expand those contracts — even celebrating their pitch to ICE in internal Slack channels with emojis and applause.

We call on Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff and the company’s executive team to immediately:

  • Drop all current and proposed contracts with ICE or related immigration enforcement agencies;
  • Pledge not to use Salesforce A.I. products to assist in raids, detention, or surveillance of immigrant communities;
  • Commit to transparency about all future government contracts with civil rights implications.

The people of San Francisco — and Salesforce employees around the world — deserve better than this.

Technology should be used to build a more just society, not to target vulnerable people. Deportation is not a business opportunity. And no amount of rainbow branding or Dreamforce speeches can cover up complicity in cruelty.

Sign this petition to demand Salesforce walk away from ICE and refuse to power Trump’s deportation machine.
