The list of violent and terrorizing moments at Ojos Locos is long and proves they are a danger to Downey. 
Downey deserves better.

  Ojos Locos Cantina is clearly an adult-oriented and sexually-themed bar that wants to pass as a restaurant. This establishment has decided to bring their adult playground to the doorsteps of our Downey High School. The proximity of the proposed site to our youth along with their 2pm-7pm happy hour is a recipe for danger for our kids. This business will come with a long list of violent, drug, alcohol and other crimes just as its other sites have. They mandate their young women "flirt with intent" in order to work at their bars. Ojos Locos is simply not a good fit for our family friendly City of Downey. We do not want this crime magnet planting roots in our community so close to our high school. And we don’t want it displaying the opposite of good character which our families and school system are working so hard to teach. If Ojos Locos insists on proceeding, we will insist on continuing to protest.

We petition that:

•  SKR Management breaks their lease with Ojos Locos allowing our city to bring in a family friendly establishment. 
•  City Council issues a declaration that the city does not approve of Ojos Locos close to our schools. 
•  City Council creates an ordinance that Ojos Locos Can not hire children under 18 years of age.
• Comvest Investment, Ojos Locos main financial source of funding, collaborates with Ojos Locos to relocate their bar plan from Downey to a different city OR open one of Reach Restaurant's many other family friendly  eateries at the same location.
