Tell Obama and Congress to Condemn Israel's Flotilla Attack
Nine people were killed on May 31 when Israeli soldiers boarded a ship that was part of a flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza. The U.S. must join the international community in condemning this attack in the strongest terms!!
This crisis stems from Israel's ongoing blockade of Gaza, which causes untold human suffering and deprives people living there of even the bare necessities of life. The ships in the flotilla were loaded with food, water purification equipment and cement.
Join us in calling on the U.S. government to take a leading role in the peaceful resolution of the Gaza situation, beginning with the strongest condemnation of the flotilla attack and support for a thorough, independent investigation of the event.
I urge you to publicly condemn Israel's May 31 attack on the Gaza flotilla and call for an independent investigation of the event.
As a nation, we must do this to retain our credibility as a force for peace in the region.
I urge you to also take a more leading role in the peaceful resolution of the Gaza blockade, which is one of the causes of this latest tragic incident.
