Tell NovaRed Mining Inc. that hiring Kristi Noem is unacceptable.
The Issue
Attention: Brian Goss, CEO OF NovaRed Mining Inc.

We, the people of British Columbia and Canada as a whole, are disgusted to hear of the hiring of Kristi Noem by your company. Canadian companies should not be rewarding those who have built their careers on cruelty and contempt for human rights, just to benefit from perceived experience.
To note some examples of her "exceptional leadership experience" (your words):
-In her role as Director of Homeland Security, she oversaw the sweeping deportation operations which have terrorized individuals all across the United States. These raids have seen:
*small children detained
*children separated from their parents
*sick individuals denied medical care
*people who were legally allowed to be here detained and deported to locations where they were tortured
*people have disappeared, sent in to the system who have not been seen since
*credible reports of deplorable conditions in concentration camps - including abuse, torture, sexual assault, rotten food and drinking water
-Following 2 separate shootings of unarmed civilians by ICE officers in Minneapolis, she labelled the victims 'domestic terrorists' despite video footage clearly contradicting her statements. This was perceived to be an attempt to spread misinformation to defend these murders under her leadership.
-She directly defied federal judges orders to stop deportations to El Salvador.
-She was the focus of a congressional inquiry into misuse of taxpayer's funds, including: $220 million on advertising of Homeland Security, and use of luxury private jets.
-She pressured officials to give her daughter her real estate appraiser's license (forcing out the head of the agency), which resulted in a $200,000 taxpayer-funded settlement and a state ethics inquiry.
With the current attacks on democracy in the United States, we cannot ignore the behaviour and complicity of those who have been involved. Hiring Kristi Noem is a clear indication of your support for this sort of behaviour and has no place in Canada.
