Dear Community Members,

We have some important updates to share regarding our mother’s recent court date. Her sentence was reduced from first-degree to second-degree. This change means that instead of 25 years to life, her sentence is now 15 years to life - 12 of which she has already served. Additionally, she has received positive conduct evaluations and a recommendation for release from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).

The next step in this journey is preparing for her board of parole hearing, which is expected to take place early next year. This offers a promising possibility for her release within the next year and a half to two years.

We are so grateful for the progress made. Our mother will be returning to prison in the next couple of days to continue her preparations for the parole hearing.

We deeply appreciate your continued support and encouragement. Your messages and petitions have made a significant difference in this process.

Thank you all for standing with us.

Sincerely,

Ayobi Siblings
