As we approach 900 signatures, I wanted to share that It's not just those of us in Bozeman that are feeling the crunch. There was a great article on this issue published through Fox News about the gentrification that is occurring across Montana, and the loss of our farmland. There is also an article published by a local paper about an individual who made some harsh/angry comments on Twitter about the Commissioners, and was arrested on behalf of the commission for those comments. He was angry because, with the increase in rent and the increases in property taxes, another 9.72% last month alone, he was finally pushed out of the apartment in the town where he was born and raised, multiple generations. Angry because he's been watching his neighbors and his family be pushed out. Angry for feeling unheard.

Rather than addressing our concerns as a community, he was targeted for saying much less than our own politicians have spouted off, and thrown in jail.

We cannot continue to exist as a community in this environment. We need to raise up our voices and  ask that the Montana that was famous for being the last best place, be allowed to continue to be a great place. Our voices matter. This soil, this habitat, this community matter.

Thank you for being brave and standing with us in speaking out to make our voices heard. This has been such a wonderful community to live in and such an amazing place for wildlife, fish habitat and food production.  We have such a rich history. It's a shame to see it turned into a cement paradise of violent crime and high density living.

I am certainly no influencer. Not a trained activist. Just an old cowgirl who left the small town she was raised in and lived in some big cities for a while. Now I've come home and I'm watching my old farm community be destroyed and it breaks my heart. Thank you for joining in with me and for helping me spread the word that yes, We will make our desires known and no, we will not just let it be tossed aside without a care.
