HANCOCK WANTS TO DO A PRE EMPTIVE STRIKE ON CPGC TREES?
NOT SO FAST.
We can win our lawsuit TO SAVE historic CPGC on August 21- 24, but we don't want Mayor Hancock to cut down trees in CPGC before we do. He did a preemptive strike on Hentzell Park... he can do it in CPGC, too.
BACKGROUND: Last Monday, Denver City Councilman, Raphael Espinoza asked Denver City Council to vote to delay a vote on proposed, millions of $$$$ of contracts for demolition/ construction at historic City Park Golf Course.
He asked that Council delay the vote and the destruction of irreplaceable trees in CPGC, for three weeks, until the outcome of our lawsuit was known. It will go to trial on August 21-24 in Denver District Court.
VOTING "NO TO DELAY": Herndon, Clark, Sussman, Black, Brooks, Kniech and Gilmore
VOTING "YES TO DELAY": Espinoza, Lopez, Kashmann, New, Ortega, Flynn
Councilman Espinoza was only able to delay the vote for one week.
WE NEED YOUR HELP RIGHT NOW: ASK CITY COUNCIL TO DELAY THE VOTE ON CONTRACTS UNTIL OUR LAW SUIT IS HEARD ON AUGUST 21 - 24.
ACTION: PLEASE.... WRITE, CALL or VISIT ....YOUR DENVER CITY COUNCIL PERSON TODAY. .
.
ACT TODAY... WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME TO SAVE OUR PRECIOUS TREES & OUR PARK.
WE CAN WIN OUR LAWSUIT BUT IT WILL BE MEANINGLESS IF OUR HERITAGE TREES ARE GONE.

Dear Denver City Council Members,
As you know, Denver resident's lawsuit to stop the brutal destruction of historic City Park Golf Course, goes to trial August 21- 24, 2017.
Please, on Monday, August 14, vote to delay the vote on 17-0283, 17-0824 and 17- 0826, for three weeks or until the judge rules on the merits of our case ....that putting an industrial storm drain in historic CPGC is NOT a park use.
Do NOT waste more resident's money approving contracts before the outcome of our case is known.
We ask that you make it known that the Denver City Council does not support cutting down even one tree in
CPGC, until this case is settled. We will remember who stood up for our parks and for our neighborhoods.
Thank you.
