Mayor Hancock wants to use the lion's share, $300M ,of your recent storm water fee increase, to install a 1965 style drainage system that will not only ruin historic CPGC but ....could expose Denver residents to mosquito borne disease and toxic pollution if they dig up I 70/Vasquez Superfund site to install an old fashioned dirt ditch in Cole and a huge outfall in Globeville. And much... much more. WHY? To protect the as yet unapproved, 1965 style, environmental disaster, Highway I 70 expansion, from flooding. Also to save developers in the Western Stock show area the cost of providing all of their own water mitigation.
