I'll take that as a compliment.
His full quote: "This is not like some little guy making pans in his kitchen. It is a sophisticated company."
He's right about one thing — we are sophisticated.
We've spent seven years building a world-class team, creating products used in millions of homes with over 200,000 five-star reviews, and building a mission that resonates so strongly with consumers that the industry's biggest players decided to sue us over it.
But "sophisticated" does not change who is David and who is Goliath.
Groupe SEB and Meyer (All-Clad, T-fal, Rachael Ray, Hestan Farberware, Anolon, Circulon) still have over 200 years of combined history, billions in annual revenue, and tens of thousands of employees.
We are still a six-year-old company with about 100 people.
Yes, we've raised $35 million. I've never hidden that, and it doesn't change the math above.
