Big Update from Big Cookware

Believe it or not, Big Cookware is threatening to sue us. Again.
This might actually be the craziest thing I’ve seen so far.
Groupe SEB & Meyer sued us six months ago. Now they’ve sent us a cease-and-desist for talking about who sued us.
Their lawyers claim that by showing their logos when discussing the lawsuit, Caraway could create a “false impression of affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.”
I had to read that a few times, especially because in the same letter they also accuse us of portraying them as “corporate villains.”
So just to make this absolutely clear: Caraway is not affiliated with Big Cookware, sponsored by Big Cookware, endorsed by Big Cookware, or emotionally available to Big Cookware.
We're using their logos for one reason: to show people exactly who is suing us. If you don’t want us using them, stop trying to silence us from speaking truthfully about PFAS and this lawsuit.
I didn’t start Caraway Home to fight Big Cookware. I started it because I thought this industry was ready for a better standard. They can defend the status quo. We’ll keep building what comes next: a generation of homes made without forever chemicals.
Their position on “association” is now very clear.
Understood. We’re going to take that concern extremely seriously.
More on that soon.
For now, we rejected their demands in full. And because I think people should be able to read this stuff and come to their own conclusions, I’m sharing everything publicly:
- Groupe Seb + Meyer Letter to Caraway - Cease & Desist
- Caraway Response to Groupe Seb + Meyer - Cease & Desist
We need you more than ever to join our fight! Thank you again for signing our petition, and please share with your friends and family.
