Encasing living species in resin under the guise of “education” or as a decorative “paperweight” is cruel and dangerous.

We are living in an era of mass extinction.  Entire colonies of bats are dying from white nose fungus,  insects are disappearing, sea life is strangling on plastics and ghost fishing gear, and habitat is being lost at an unprecedented rate. 

 Educating everyone on the role of biodiversity in maintaining a healthy and sustainable ecosystem is more important than viewing a dead “specimen” encased in resin.  

Our failure  to understand and acknowledge the importance of every species on earth has devastating  consequences for all life including our own.
