We the undersigned, want to see the trade, barter, or sale of sick, injured, and abused animals at Village People's Flea Market 3362 US-59, Cleveland, TX 77328 and Cowboy (Cleveland59)Flea market 3696 US-59, Cleveland, TX 77327 to stop!! These neglected animals are shoved into tight cages in the raging heat with no water or food. These farmer markets have turned into marketing places for puppy mills and backyard breeders, who over-breed, offer no vaccines or medical for these animals which has led to horrific deaths at the markets. This is nothing but a breeding ground for many horrible contagious diseases.

Some of the conditions you will see: animals in shopping carts, no food or water in 100 degree weather, no shelter, open wounds,  filth, punching and kicking by handlers, dead animals with their siblings, animals matted and covered in their own feces, some so inbred they are deformed, list goes on and on!

The animal shelters are over populated with readily adoptable animals, they receive vaccines, worming, and altering for a low cost. They often have specials where you can adopt a healthy, altered pet for bery little or free.

There are a great abundance of reputable rescues that offer pet adoption. These fosters dedicate their homes and lives to giving these rescued animals a chance at a loving home.

There is a true need for regulation and laws for these backyard breeders & puppy mills that are on the street corners.
We the undersigned ask that NO animals be allowed in the above mentioned Flea Markets.
These flea markets do not solely depend on the sale or trade of animals.
