There is a veil over our current food system. Not only is it very hard to find information about how our food is processed, but it can all too easily incur the legal teams of huge food giants. Any statement made on the practices of a food company, whether true or false, so long as it decreases their sales, can cause that company to sue you for damages. These specific laws, Food Libel Laws, are in place to make sure that no one finds out the dark secrets of these companies and the awful conditions of the animals and their employees.
