Every event related to Teachers starts with these two beautiful
Lines in India that mean ‘Guru is the absolute Lord himself’

Very true,

Teacher creates our future, preserves goodness in this world, and destroys the bad.
But in this process of treating Teachers with the utmost respect, we somewhere have missed the fact that Teachers are also People like us.

Teachers can also have stress, they can also have pain, mistakes can happen, they too get exhausted, they can also have insecurities, they can fail… In this process of being role models to students, they carry a lot of emotional baggage that is not shared.

When I started my research 1st thing I observed is, Teachers are carrying a lot of responsibilities more than we think… hats off to all for everything that they have done and doing. And Ignorance of Teachers' mental health is a universal problem. Except for UNICEF.. Hardly anyone else has spoken about this.

I know teachers are strong, you wear smiling faces to school colleges irrespective of what's happening in life.
But we need a smiling heart and mind too.

Only corporates try to take care of employees with Coaching and Counseling...! But in the education industry, only there is a talk about children's mental health, and teachers are asked to have a check on students' mental health issues.. But what about Teachers. ?

Low pay packages, overburdened shoulders, fear of being judged... many things. This needs to be changed. Teachers have to be given support and care by educational institutions and governments. There are many measures that can be taken.

Rework on teachers and students ratio.

Hire more teachers.

Pay them well.

Don't overburden them.

Take care of their mental and emotional well-being.

Train them well

Support them with good infrastructure.

To ensure teachers’ well-being, I demand the following measures educational Institutions take....!

● Definitely, every school should have a wellness committee or task force
whose objectives would include keeping up to date with the latest
research statistics for the well-being of employees; and taking measured
actions to improve employees’ well-being and health.

● School administrators should take measures to ensure that every school
places the health and well-being of teachers at the top of the list of
priorities because without healthy, professional, and effective teachers,
teaching suffers, education suffers, and students suffer.

I hereby request everyone to sign this petition and support me.

Doctor, Engineer, Driver, Minister.. any profession you are in today.. You must have had one favorite teacher that influenced you in school.

Think that you are signing this for them.
