Testing by Taupo District Council confirms that fluoride chemicals are entering the Hangarito stream that feeds Lake Taupo. Fluoride is toxic to the environment. Approximately 99% of it is flushed into Lake Taupo. The Council waste water Resource Consent does not specifically mention these hazardous chemicals. We are demanding that Taupo District Council stop toxic fluoride chemicals being added to Lake Taupo.
