I am a resident of Tampines, a neighborhood already filled with eight McDonald's outlets, including an outlet in a Polytechnic and a drive-thru at a petrol kiosk. For me, and many others in my community, we're feeling overwhelmed. We need variety. We need healthier options. Our issue is not with the fast food giant, McDonald's, but with the lack of diversity in our F&B landscape in Tampines!

There is already an existing Mcdonalds at Tampines Greenview which is only about less than ONE KILOMETER away from Tampines Greencourt where Mcdonalds has also won a bid. So, I am calling for a restriction on new outlets of existing F&B chains being within a 5km radius from their nearest outlet.  

This will encourage diversity, promote competition, and give communities like ours a variety of food options.
