The national flag of every country is held in the highest regard by its citizens. It is far more than a piece of cloth—it represents the sacrifices of countless individuals, the struggles for freedom, the unity of a nation, and the pride of its people.

Recently, an unfortunate incident has come to light in which the Indian National Flag, was deliberately torn and desecrated In front of Frisco City Hall. This act is deeply hurtful to millions of Indians across the world. The Tiranga does not belong to any one individual, political party, religion, or community. It belongs to more than a billion people who proudly call India their motherland

While freedom of expression is a fundamental right, the intentional destruction or desecration of a national flag crosses a line that undermines national unity and disrespects the sentiments of an entire nation. When such acts go unaddressed, they risk encouraging further displays of hatred, division, and disrespect.

We respectfully call upon the appropriate authorities to thoroughly investigate this incident and take appropriate legal action against the individual(s) responsible. We also urge lawmakers to review existing laws and penalties to ensure that acts of deliberate flag desecration of any country are met with meaningful consequences that serve as a deterrent to future offenses.

This petition is not about politics. It is about respect—for other nation, our history, and the values that unite us as citizens.
