In the past year, there have been two deaths at the railroad crossing at McCarver and Ruston Way in Tacoma. We request that a pedestrian crossing bar be installed on each side of the railroad tracks, to warn of oncoming trains, as well as better signage to warn pedestrians. We believe that this will significantly increase the safety of pedestrians at this crossing and should be done as soon as possible.
