Save Sweetwater Head Start and Early Head Start!!

The Issue

Southeast Early Childhood Center (SECC) is a school that provides education for kids the ages of; Newborn to 5 years old. At this school kids learn so many things; sign language to help communicate for the younger kids who can't speak yet, colors, all the nursery rhymes, learning how to share and be gentle with others. They send home books and a sheet of paper describing everything the child has done all day including, what they ate and how long they've slept. This program accepts families that meet a certain financial guideline, to give their children an early grip on education, and also allows parents to be able to work with having the peace of mind that their kids are in great hands. Young parents who are still trying to finish/ further their education benefit so much from this as well. Our school district is voting to either keep or get rid of the Head Start and Early Head Start programs starting in the 2020/2021 school year. Please show your support by signing our petition and spreading the word to others.
