The Kingdom Sweden is at the dawn of a new age.

Despite the ignorant statements made by President Donald Trump at his recent rally, and Alternative Right Media slandering them, Sweden remains a one of the most accommodating and tolerant countries towards refugees in continental Europe. 

But while Sweden has made great strides in becoming a feminist government open to all, they have been lagging in one key area: the national flag.

The current Swedish flag, adopted in 1906, portrays a yellow Nordic cross above a blue background. While this may have worked in the past, refugees fleeing civil war and harsh conditions brought upon them by oppressive governments deserve a symbol on the flag of their new homeland that reflects the changing demographics.

I am proposing that Sweden change it's flag to accommodate new Swedes with a symbol that reflects the changing times: the star and crescent. Samples of what this could look like can be seen here​, here​, and here. 

With this change to the national flag of sweden, the amalgamation of one of the world's most tolerant and accepting countries and one of the world's most peaceful religions will be complete.
