Swap out character interactions contradicting heroes' personalities for ones that don't

Swap out character interactions contradicting heroes' personalities for ones that don't
The Issue
So apparently on a Reddit thread about which Overwatch characters narratively changed for the worse between OW1 and OW2 I learned that it's the case that a lot of in-game-character-interaction-lines or w/e that were added in OW2 at the very least (whether or not they overwrote established characterization) presented a lot of characters in some of the worst lights possible from darker/crazier portrayals like some of Soldier's lines sounding like they could have come from Blackwatch-era Reyes or Wrecking Ball being portrayed as more of an "absolute menace" to glossing over character depths like the pressure D.va has to deal with or how Reinhardt's loud-in-the-metaphorical-and-literal-senses personality is kind of a trauma response to new-heroes-previously-teased-in-lore like Mauga or Junker Queen being portrayed through these interaction-y bits as a lot dumber and less interesting than their lore implies (when there's cool things you could do with stuff like JQ's Deadpool vibes).
There are people who might say having enough of a problem with this to make a petition about it is making a mountain out of a molehill for even Overwatch "Vorthoses" (or whatever equivalent OW has to that MtG term for people more interested in the story than the actual game). However, I believe there's many reasons why this is still a problem enough to be changed that aren't just the obvious ones of inconsistent characters. For example, the game is already in so much of a state of disarray and dislike it made a WatchMojo list of most hated gaming franchises and we don't need seemingly-ruined characters making that worse when the cool characters were kinda the game's main "hook". Also, there are people who would consider the treatment of some of the minority characters this is being done to [racist/homophobic/whatever the right relevant minority-related bigotry word is], not because they were being made into [that word] stereotypes but because of the disrespect it shows by seemingly Flanderizing them this much.
As for why I think the best solution is swapping out the interactions that are a problem for new ones, it's because we've already seen that happen before ironically with one of the things people were complaining about about them. Some Mercy/Genji shippers complained about them swapping out their romantic interactions for ones between her and Pharah. No matter which side I am on the ship war (as none of my favorite ships-between-heroes really included Mercy that much apart from shipping her with Moira because the Glinda/Elphaba vibes), I think the silver lining to this is we've seen proof that they can retcon-via-line-swap-out. Therefore I think they should do the same and swap out all lines that'd be inconsistent with the heroes' established character in a way character development couldn't reasonably explain
