We are residents of Swansboro who are making a stand to protect what makes our town special. Many of us chose to live in Swansboro for its charm and peace — but we’re watching it disappear before our eyes.

We want to preserve our forests, fields, wetlands, and coastal ecosystems, not pave over them. These lands are essential to our town’s natural beauty, heritage, and resilience. We support policies and initiatives that protect our history, green spaces, and small-town charm. We oppose the rezoning and development of environmentally sensitive areas and say no to converting farmland into high-density apartments. 

This petition calls on town leadership to safeguard the remaining Rural/Agricultural and Conservation Priority areas in Swansboro, as required by our Land Use Plan.
