Swan Hill College students recently responded in a school wide survey that only 31% of the population feel comfortable engaging with the current toilet facilities. They are unhygienic, outdated and not a welcoming space for those in their private moments. All toilets should uphold dignity and privacy and be a space available to use by all, despite gender orientation. 

The current outdated design does not meet modern day safety standards and we are desperate for help to have our voice heard for change. The current toilets systems leave pungent smells fumigating the air, broken toilets are a common occurence and unusable dispensers are only the beginning of the atrocious state of these bathrooms. 

If things continue to stay the way they are this will only increase the anxiety surrounding using the toilet facilities at School. Everyone deserves the right to relieve themselves, why are Swan Hill College Students any exception.

It is important to act now while people are finally starting to listen. It is our last year of Swan Hill College as Year 12 Senior School Captains but we want change to be made to ensure students see improvement in the future whilst studying at this amazing school.
