The Issue

Radko Gudas has consistently demonstrated behavior on the ice that reflects poorly on the sport of hockey. As an avid hockey enthusiast, I've always believed that the NHL represents not just a thrilling competitive arena, but also a stage where sportsmanship and integrity should shine. Unfortunately, Gudas's actions have repeatedly contradicted these values.

Time and again, Gudas has engaged in excessively aggressive and dangerous plays that not only endanger fellow players but also set a terrible example for fans and aspiring hockey players, especially the younger ones who look up to NHL athletes. Various incidents have seen him involved in dangerous hits and unsportsmanlike conduct that clearly violate the ethos of fair play.

Radko Gudas has been suspended 5 times in his career over 14 seasons. Missing 26 games because of his actions. I believe these suspensions are necessary however it’s not enough to stop him from doing it again.

Hockey is a beautiful game that requires finesse, strategic thinking, and a deep respect for one’s opponents. The NHL can take a stand against the type of conduct displayed by Gudas by suspending him indefinitely. This action would not only protect the welfare of players but also reinforce the values of integrity and sportsmanship that are essential to the true spirit of the game.

It’s time for the NHL to take decisive action against Radko Gudas and safeguard the integrity of hockey. Please sign this petition to urge the NHL to indefinitely suspend Radko Gudas, ensuring that our beloved sport remains a safe and honorable competition for everyone involved.

Your support is crucial to sending a strong message to the NHL that dangerous and unsportsmanlike behavior has no place in professional hockey. Together, let’s ensure that hockey remains a sport that is respected by fans and players alike.

He also injured Sidney Crosby, and that alone is just a no no.
