The Issue

We are outraged that ABC News chose to platform Piper Rockelle without fully confronting the serious, well-documented allegations of grooming, exploitation, and abuse surrounding her circle. A major network should not be giving airtime that feels like image repair while lawsuits and disturbing accounts remain public and unresolved. Where were the hard questions? Where was the accountability?

Why was Tiffany not put on camera and directly questioned? Avoiding the most uncomfortable facts is not journalism. It is a failure of responsibility.

And why is “barely legal” part of this at all?

That phrase is widely understood to sexualize the idea of someone being just over the legal age threshold. It deliberately plays on youth and vulnerability to generate attention and profit. When a major outlet like ABC News platforms someone connected to branding that uses language like that, it raises serious ethical concerns.

This segment came across as sanitized and irresponsible, especially given the broader context of branding and content that has raised serious ethical concerns. The public deserves transparency, not a polished narrative that ignores documented harm.

We are calling for this show to be suspended immediately pending a full review. Until ABC News is willing to address these issues directly and honestly, it should not continue airing content that risks normalizing or minimizing allegations of abuse.
