Prosecute the people responsible for illegally dumping waste at Stoney Castle, Pirbright
The Issue
Thousands tonnes of waste has been illegally dumped at this site. The site is a special area of conservation (SAC), Special Protection Area (SPA) and a site of special scientific interest (SSSI).
In 2015 Surrey County Council issued an Enforcement notice prohibiting the importation of waste.
The occupiers of this site ignored this notice and for 6 year continued to dump waste. Now residents are left with mountains of rubbish.
Surrey County Council is the Prosecuting authority in this matter and is the only organisation who can take criminal action against people who breach their notice and continue to illegally dump waste.
