We are demanding justice for Manisha Valmiki.

She was only 19. She was cutting grass in a field. News outlets report “she was wearing a salwar kameez”, as if what she wore mattered at all. She was dragged by her dupatta around her neck by four “upper caste” men. They gang raped her, cut her tongue, and broke her spine. On September 29th, 15 days after the horrific incident, she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital and died. Her body was cremated by the police without approval from her family. The police even beat her family members for asking permission to take their daughter’s body home. Her rapists are not being held accountable.

This is REALITY. How many disturbing and brutal rapes have to occur in India until justice is served?

Signing this petition will be be CALLING FOR ACTION from the Supreme Court of India to ensure that her rapists are arrested and CONVICTED for their brutal crimes. Alongside this, we demand the proper implementation of education when it comes to sexual assault. Stand with the Hathras rape victim and her family. I believe she deserves justice - don't you?

Please sign and share this petition if you believe that justice should be served!
