Support the Revival of the Bald Hills State School Forestry Trail

Support the Revival of the Bald Hills State School Forestry Trail
The issue
Imagine if our children had a place just beyond the classroom, a natural trail where they could learn, explore and connect with Country.
Right now, that space exists... but it’s closed!
The Forestry Trail behind Bald Hills State School has long been part of our school’s identity and community story. Due to safety and maintenance concerns, access has been restricted and with it, our kids have lost access to a powerful outdoor learning space.
This trail once supported meaningful exploration for students, and today it holds even greater potential:
- A shared outdoor classroom for Bald Hills students and C&K’s Bush Kindy
- A nature-based wellbeing space aligned with our school’s Tall Tree values
- A way to honour and embed cultural connection through future consultation and storytelling
- A place to bring families, educators and community groups together
But without action, it may stay closed.
"I believe in this project because our kids deserve more than just classrooms — they deserve spaces that spark curiosity, build resilience and connect them to something bigger. The Forestry Trail could be that space, if we bring it back to life." - Alinta, Bald Hills P&C Member and Parent
We're working with the school, P&C and local community groups to explore what’s possible; but to take the first step, we need to demonstrate strong public support.
By signing this petition, you're saying you believe in a space where children can connect with nature, culture and each other. A space worth restoring, together.

You do not need to donate or sign anything else for your support of the Forestry Trail project to count. Your signature alone is all we need, and we’re incredibly grateful for it!
