The Issue

I am a civically-engaged member of this wonderful Southern California city, and I am passionate about serving our community, particularly the Optimal HealthSpan Community. My commitment to fostering a thriving environment for all our seniors motivates me to return to the Thousand Oaks City Council on Aging. I have had the honor of serving before, and I believe that my experience and dedication qualify me to contribute even more in the upcoming years.

In every community, the voices of our seniors need amplification and advocacy. We are facing increasing challenges in supporting an aging population, where access to healthcare, social services, and age-friendly community spaces are more important than ever. Working with the Council on Aging has provided me a platform to address these challenges head-on, strive for impactful policies, and develop programs that enhance quality of life for our aging residents.

My vision for the Thousand Oaks Council on Aging is to continue advancing innovative policies that support well-being, mental health, and accessibility for all seniors. With the support of the community, we can spearhead initiatives that offer educational workshops, wellness programs, and resources tailored to the needs of our elders. These are strategic developments that not only bridge gaps in accessibility but also foster a vibrant and inclusive community for senior residents.

Let’s come together in support of my reappointment to ensure continuity and continued growth in our efforts to serve the seniors of Thousand Oaks. Your voice is powerful, and together, we can maintain the momentum towards significant positive change for our elder community. Sign this petition to support my reappointment to the Thousand Oaks City Council on Aging for a 2-year term. Thank you for your trust and partnership in this vital mission.
