Support the introduction of edenism

The Issue

In the quest for a more harmonious existence, I have developed a concept I call "Edenism." This is not just a philosophy but a practical system aimed at elevating the way we live, interact, and make decisions in our ever-complicated world. Overwhelmed by the persistent conflicts and the unsustainable path of our modern civilization, I believe that Edenism provides a missing piece crucial for living wisely and gently on Earth.

Edenism is rooted in the ideas of balance, sustainability, and profound respect for our natural world. It seeks to guide us in making choices that contribute positively to both our personal development and the well-being of the environment. By incorporating principles of empathy, sustainability, and cooperative living, it offers a framework to address some of the pressing challenges of our time, like environmental degradation, social divides, and economic instability.

Imagine a world where decisions across all levels of society are driven by respect for our planet and for each other—where policy-making is guided not by profit alone but by the well-being of future generations. Edenism champions a shift towards policies that promote long-term ecological balance, community empowerment, and a fair distribution of resources.

Yet, introducing Edenism on a larger scale requires collective support. To realize this vision, it is essential to unite people who are passionate about transforming our current trajectory. I am turning to you, the community, to help amplify this discourse and incite action among policymakers and thought leaders globally.

THE 16 SUGGESTION
End Hunger by Ending Idle Assets
“They shall not build, and another inhabit.” — Isaiah 65:22

THE PROBLEM
People go hungry while land, buildings, money, and data sit unused. That’s a broken promise.

THE PRINCIPLE
If it’s idle, share it. If it’s used, keep it free.
No one may lock up life while others starve.

THE RULE: 4% + 0.5%

4% Idle Timer
Any land, building, vehicle, budget, or dataset unused for 12 months pays 4% of its value per year into a public fund.
Example: R1M empty office = R40,000/year to the people.

0.5% Lease for All
Any South African can lease any idle asset for 0.5% of its value per year to farm it, live in it, or use it.
Example: 1ha idle state land = R100/year for a youth to grow food.
Use it or lose it. You own what you build.

Dividend to Everyone
All money from the 4% timer + 0.5% leases is paid monthly to every citizen equally.
No forms. No means test. Empty Stomach = 0 first.

WHAT COUNTS AS IDLE?
Land with no crops. Houses empty 6+ months. Budgets unspent 1 year. Data locked behind paywalls. Offices with lights off. Cars that never move. If it could help someone but doesn’t, it’s idle.

THE COLLECTOR CLAUSE
Collecting ≠ Hoarding. No timer on active use.
If you study it, display it, lend it, maintain it, or share knowledge from it, it’s not idle.
Museums, libraries, seed banks, archives, and personal collections in active use are exempt.
Test: Does it serve life, beauty, or knowledge? If yes, keep it free. If it just sits to block others, the timer starts.

HUMAN RULE
No timer on people. You own your mind and body.
But if a company hoards jobs or a department hoards budgets while people are jobless, they pay the timer.

HOW IT STARTS
Year 1: 1% timer. Year 2: 2%. Year 3: 4%.
AI + satellites check what’s idle. Public app lets anyone claim a lease. All money tracked online.

THE RESULT
Idle assets fund the people. Youth get land. Hunger ends.
Broken Promise = 0. Locked Swing = 0. Empty Stomach = 0.

This is not a tax. It’s a refund for hoarding life.
