We are very aware of the devastating corona virus pandemic affecting the world at large.

We, chefs, cooks, caterers and everyone working within the hospitality industry in Lesotho appreciate what the local Command Center, and Global Authorities (e.g. World Health Organisation) and the Government of Lesotho are putting in place to condemn and monitor the outbreak worldwide. 

We however are as much concerned of the halt to the Hospitality Industry at large. We write here united, because we, our colleagues, family members, have lost their jobs and anticipate more to follow suit in the long run as the government gazette has sidelined the so believably essential entity to mankind.

We therefore appeal to the government, authorities, international aid and all the other major stakeholders to intervene in order to safeguard  the jobs and businesses of these compatriots. 

We are still very much committed to ensure the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (e.g. Zero Hunger, Ending Extreme Poverty...) are achieved especially in this very important decade of action. 

We plead to all of you to help us by signing this petition in order to achieve sustainable solutions towards fighting hunger globally.
