one globally synchronized hour without killing.

Every hour, lives are lost to war, state violence, organized crime, or interpersonal harm. Despite treaties, negotiations, and international appeals, humanity has never collectively stopped killing — not even for one single hour.

The Earthpeacehour seeks to change this.
We call for a unified, one-hour pause in all acts of lethal violence:
No shootings. No bombings. No executions. No deadly force.
Just one hour of deliberate, coordinated restraint — across borders, institutions, and ideologies.

We propose that the Earthpeacehour be officially supported by:

Governments and militaries, through voluntary, time-bound ceasefires;
Police and security institutions, through orders to suspend the use of lethal force during the hour;
Civil societies, religious groups, schools, and individuals, through local and global participation, silent reflection, and visible acts of nonviolence — especially via the annual Earthpeaceassemblies on August 8, 2033.

Each year on August 8 at 8:00 PM CET, from now until 2033, individuals, communities, schools, and organizations are invited to host Earthpeaceassemblies — local or digital gatherings to raise awareness, build networks, and prepare for the Earthpeacehour.

These assemblies are meant to inspire commitment, foster dialogue, and demonstrate public readiness.
