I witness daily the impact of the achievement gap in our education system. In underserved communities, particularly in the Riverview Gardens attendance area, this gap is a lived reality. Children's futures are narrowed by socio-economic factors, lack of access to quality educational resources, and limited support systems. It deeply saddens me that the potential of these young minds is held back due to circumstances beyond their control. I believe every child deserves a fair chance at success, regardless of their background or the adversities they face, which is why I am driven to establish the North County Innovative School, a STREAM charter school with a focus on literacy and mental health serving the 63136-63137 areas. 

This newly proposed charter school will prioritize holistic education. Our focus will not only be on academics but will equally consider the emotional and social well-being of the students. We aim to address the whole child, equipping them with the necessary skills to navigate not just their academic pursuits, but life itself. With this outlook, students are given a fair chance at fulfilling their potential, breaking free from the burdens of their immediate environment.
