Support the Establishment of a Community Garden in West Bridgford

Support the Establishment of a Community Garden in West Bridgford
The Issue
The residents' association started this project a couple of years back and applied for funding last year. Unfortunately our application wasn't quite strong enough to make it over the line. But we've improved where we've been asked to and are hoping we can show that this project has a groundswell of support.
We are calling on the residents of Wilford Hill, West Bridgford, Nottingham, UK to show their support for a proposed community garden project. This initiative aims to transform unused urban spaces into vibrant and productive green areas that not only beautify our neighbourhood but also promote sustainability and community engagement.
Community gardens have been proven to provide numerous benefits. According to research by the Royal Horticultural Society, such projects can improve physical and mental health, foster community spirit, reduce crime rates by improving neighbourhood aesthetics and providing a sense of ownership (RHS, 2020). Furthermore, they contribute positively towards biodiversity by creating habitats for local wildlife.
By signing this petition you are showing your support for this transformative project that will make West Bridgford an even better place to live. Let's come together as a community and make our voices heard in favour of greener urban living. Please sign this petition today!
