Cal Poly Green Campus, in partnership with other campus entities, is working to facilitate the creation of a centralized, on-campus thrift store in the new housing development that will not only act as a basic needs initiative, but also help divert waste from the landfill throughout the year. The store will provide a physical location for the exchange of used goods and cultivate a more conscious consumer culture and circular economy on campus. To ensure that a physical space can be accommodated on a crowded campus in the future, we want to garner support from students and staff to demonstrate that a thrift store on campus is desired.
