Once again it’s time to remind Falmouth’s town government of your support for the wind turbines. Last week, the zoning board of appeals (ZBA) voted to shut down Wind1 until a special permit is issued. Selectmen are meeting TONIGHT (9/28/15), and again on Tuesday night, to discuss appealing the ZBA decision. Please take a moment right now to email the selectmen. A template is below. Another important hearing will take place on October 29, when ZBA will review the special permit application for Wind1, and also consider requests to shut down Wind2. It seems the ZBA has forgotten that complaints must be evaluated on validity rather than vehemence. The town-wide environmental and economic benefits of the wind turbines are well proven, while the detriments are unsubstantiated.
