Support Renata’s law in Kentucky
The Issue
Renata was my best friend for 15 years, and losing her has shattered my heart. The pain of knowing that someone I loved so deeply was taken so violently is something I carry with me every single day. I am fighting for Renata’s Law because her life mattered, and I don’t want another family or friend to endure this kind of heartbreak. I promised I would never stop fighting for her, and I intend to keep that promise. Her legacy deserves to inspire meaningful change. ❤️
Renata’s untimely death was the result of domestic violence, a problem that continues to take lives in our communities. In Kentucky, the statistics are alarming: the state ranks 11th in the country for women killed by men, with many of these cases linked to domestic abuse. Yet, when tragic events occur, the justice system often falls short in providing the accountability and support victims and their families desperately need.
Renata’s Law seeks to address this gap by creating a registry for domestic violence offenders so families and communities can have greater awareness and accountability. We’re also seeking stronger consequences for repeat offenders and increased support for victims and their loved ones. Its goal is to help prevent future tragedies and protect vulnerable individuals throughout Kentucky.
By supporting Renata’s Law, we can create a safer environment and ensure that the tragedy of domestic violence does not continue to devastate families. This initiative is not just about Renata. It's about all victims who deserve justice and all the families who deserve peace.
Passing Renata’s Law will send a powerful message that Kentucky values the safety of its residents and is committed to taking definitive action against domestic violence. Let this law be a beacon of change, a tribute to Renata’s life, and a promise to future generations.
Please join me in building a safer Kentucky by signing this petition today. Together, we can honor Renata's memory with real, impactful change.
