The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) is essential legislation that enables licensed psychologists to practice telehealth across state lines. PSYPACT (Senate Bill S6883) has been enacted in 35 states and is currently under your review.

Everyone in need of care should receive it regardless of where they live. PSYPACT benefits individuals in rural areas, low-income areas, and other locations where mental health services are inaccessible. 

The enactment of PSYPACT is a pivotal step that will allow people residing in states across the US to access quality mental health services, especially as mental health struggles have become increasingly prolific. 

This bill is particularly valuable for supporting those who lack access to specialty mental healthcare, such as those with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, and substance use disorders. More individuals will receive care by increasing the number of qualified mental health specialists available to provide these life-changing services.
