Congratulations to the management of RBI Restaurants Brand International on the Consolidated system-wide sales grow 5.8% in the fourth quarter and 5.3% in 2025. I also offer my sincere and heartfelt thanks for all the compassionate signatories of your continuous support and advocacy for our beloved seniors.
We respectfully write to you in light of Tim Hortons’ continued success, having outperformed the broader Canadian quick-serve restaurant industry by nearly two percentage points. With coffee costs having “come down significantly” in recent months, this presents a timely opportunity to recognize and give back to a group that has been instrumental in building the brand’s legacy.
We urgently request that Tim Hortons consider introducing a $1.00 small coffee or tea along with a subsequent discount on other items for senior patrons aged 55+ across Canada. Such an initiative would be a meaningful gesture of appreciation to the Canadian seniors who have supported, nurtured, and contributed to the company’s growth over the decades, helping it reach its current pinnacle of success.
This proposal is not only a reflection of gratitude but also a reminder of the loyalty and foundational role our seniors have played in making Tim Hortons a cherished part of Canadian communities. We sincerely hope you will give this request your thoughtful and prompt consideration.
The following report by The Canadian Press was first published Feb. 12, 2026.
"Revenue for the quarter totalled US$2.47 billion, up from US$2.30 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024, while system-wide sales amounted to US$12.13 billion, up from US$11.28 billion....
On Thursday, Schwan said the company was starting to see relief. Coffee costs have “come down significantly” in recent months, he said. Patrick Doyle, RBI’s executive chairman, said on a Thursday earnings call that the company has handled the headwinds well. Its comparable sales in Canada grew 2.8 per cent in the last quarter, outperforming the broader Canadian quick-serve restaurant industry by nearly two points."
Best Wishes,
