Dear Supporters of Dartmouth College and President Beilock,

Thank you for supporting President Beilock one year ago when Dartmouth faced encampments on The Green that violated College policies.

The College and President Beilock are currently facing criticism for not joining Harvard and Columbia in their legal opposition to new federal policies.

I believe that Dartmouth and President Beilock are right to remain neutral in the early stages of this fight because there are many complex issues involved and they will develop over time.  It’s important, therefore, to address them as they develop and always in the best interests of Dartmouth College.

I worry that a small but vocal group of dissenters is seeking to undermine Dartmouth’s President and to direct Dartmouth’s decision-making ability to other colleges .
