We are reaching out to you regarding the Greenhaven Street Project Redesign with a trail. We need your voice again!
You may have signed a petition and/or sent comments to the city council in support of the redesign and trail already (thank you very much for doing this). The petition was submitted to the Vadnais Heights City Council on 9/2/25. At this meeting, the council voted 5-0 to accept the Feasibility Study and move into the next phase of the design project.
The redesign provides the community with a safer street and trail for walkability and accessibility. (Public Works has communicated many times that studies show that a narrower street will slow traffic down).
The group opposed to the redesign has not given up and has continued to show up at city council meetings and speak in opposition to the project. Most recently they have distributed flyers in the area "requiring input," either a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ if you support the project.
The council has shown they support this project; however, they are continually getting barraged with negativity about the project. We need to let them know that there are many, many Vadnais Heights residents who are supportive of a safer street and trail. We want to share with them all our positive thoughts.
What we are asking of you is to share a couple sentences or a heartfelt paragraph on the questions/comments below:

- Here is how I would use a trail on Greenhaven Drive...
- I support the redesign for a safer street.
We will pull all these positive comments together and present them at the council meeting on Tuesday, Oct 7th. We know many of you can’t attend council meetings in person, but your voices need to be heard and shared. Oct 7th is just around the corner, so there is a sense of urgency to hear from residents who support the redesign.
Let’s overwhelm our city council with positive feedback so they continue to feel good about their support for this project. Let’s come together as a community.
