In the South Miami area, there are very limited basketball opportunities for girls, especially at younger ages, and very few travel team options for older girls. Many girls who want to play do not have teams to join and do not receive the same opportunities as girls in areas farther north. This petition shows community support for creating more recreational and travel basketball teams for girls so they can develop their skills, gain confidence, and have equal opportunities to play and grow in the sport.
